EMAS Events

EMAS offers six archaeological lectures a year.

These lectures are usually held in Birkbeck College, Malet Street, London and are free to EMAS members and members of the Birkbeck College Archaeological Society.

EMAS members are also entitled to free entry of the Birkbeck College Archaeological Society lectures.

EMAS also offers a number of archaeological field trips each year.

EMAS members are entitled to a reduced fee for these field trips.

In addition, each year there is an Easter study tour that lasts for several days.
This year’s Easter trip is to the Shetland Islands. You can find details here.

People who are not members of EMAS are welcome to attend these events, but as some EMAS field trips and visits are limited to a certain number of participants and must
therefore be booked in advance, they should contact the Events Secretary first on
